Aurora Labs, a software development company behind Aurora, is launching TurboChain and TurboSwap, the two new additions to the TURBO ecosystem, based on information shared with Finbold on Tuesday, December 17.
The company leveraged the NEAR Protocol and Aurora’s infrastructure to produce these upgrades, which are meant to boost the system’s DeFi services, token utility, and community-driven blockchain development.
A dedicated virtual chain
TurboChain is a pioneering development for the crypto community as it represents the first AI meme coin blockchain. Built with Aurora’s Virtual Chain technology, it provides the Turbo ecosystem with fast speed, scalability, cross-chain compatibility, and customization options.

The new dedicated virtual chain will use the TURBO meme token for all transactions, cementing its role within the system with low fees and fast speeds, resulting in high accessibility to retail investors.
Furthermore, TurboChain will foster the development of decentralized applications (dApps) and cross-chain compatibility with Ethereum (ETH), NEAR, and other prominent ecosystems.
TURBO community gets a new trading platform
TurboSwap, the second addition to the ecosystem, acts as a decentralized trading platform, boasting low fees, fast execution, user-friendly experience, and cross-chain liquidity.
This will allow users’ assets to seamlessly transact between Ethereum, Bitcoin (BTC), NEAR, Solana (SOL), Dogecoin (DOGE), TurboChain, and others.
Aurora Cloud
Aurora Labs stated that TurboChain and TurboSwap are the first steps in their plan to launch 1,000 interconnected blockchains in 2025 via Aurora Cloud.
Alex Shevchenko, the CEO of Aurora Labs, commented:

He added:

Aurora Cloud aims to foster the grassroots development of cheap, affordable, scalable virtual chains with no prerequisite tech skills. Furthermore, they claim their services aim to seamlessly integrate products with other major blockchain players in the crypto community.
